Windows has no .pdrc unfortunately. Anyone know why the .pdrc file is disabled on Windows? I know my .emacs file works fine with Emacs NT, so Windows can do files that start with a ".".
The doubleclicking is a bad hack to allow Pd to be installed anywhere.
Its set in the registry. Its in HKCR (I think its called "Classes" in
regedit.exe) then Pure.Data\shell\open\command
There are a number of ways that it could be done better, the installer could set the path to pd.exe in pd.bat when installing, Windows could use a .pdrc, I am sure there are other ways. But I basically never use Windows so I have little time to maintain this installer. Volunteers are always appreciated. For example Bob Falesch is helping me get the OSC from CVS to compile with just a 'nmake'.

hello,
thanks for this release, look great! instalation works fine.
I've got a small question about double cliking on a .pd file
I'm on windows, I changed the pd.bat command line to load pmpd lib. it's ok when I strat pd with this .bat but when I double click on a pd file, the lib is not load. so, what should I change, to add differents flag while double click on pd file?
thanks again

I think I've put together a reasonably complete distro with this installer. It should be ready to go, give it a try and let me know if you have any problems. With this installer, you can install it anywhere you want and it should work. http://at.or.at/hans/pd/installers/ (There are bigger changes with the MacOS X installer, so that's why its taking longer... ) .hc _______________________________________________ PD-list mailing list PD-list@iem.at http://iem.at/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pd-list
