I had a problem compiling devel_0_38 a while back, where every external compiled fine but wouldn't load with the same error Vincent gave. At the time I was too busy to isolate the bug and report it since I had a performance the next day, so I just recompiled CVS _stable_0_38 and it worked again. I'm sorry I don't have more information and I don't have time to go looking for it right now, so I guess you may as well ignore this message ;)

i 'll manage anyway with an older version of py - no worry it's just that i feel a bit frustrated not being able to follow the latest developpement of this really excellent work.
the frustration is on my side since i wanted to release a new version these days (which is just the cvs version). Not a clever thing to do as long as there are unresolved issues like this one.
best greetings, Thomas
