Well, it's strange:
objects are mapped so that their upper-left-hand corners are spaced the same, proportionally, in the parent as they are in the child patch when it's open. Then, the container "graph" is stretched to hold the rest. I'll try to document this...

this is on windows 2000 with 0.35test16
this feature was a surprise to me today, I've been wanting it for ages and I'm really excited that its alredy in .35 ...
