yes.. perfekt hc. es hat endlich funktioniert und ich kann die xsamples library benutzen : )
thanks a lot for providing me with a functioning installer with all the libraries that i needed. basically what i did was that i deleted my old version of pd that i was using and replaced it with the one on your website.. there i also found the org.puredata.pd.list, which i dropped in ~/library/preferences.... and it worked flawlessly... thanks again hc.
best

When you open the disk image, org.puredata.pd.plist is right next to Pd-0.38.4-extended-RC7.html

cheers hc., one problem: where do i find the org.puredata.pd.plist file ? i downloaded the xsample folder for mac osx from thomas' website. the folder contains the binary, two demos and help patches. is there another meaning hidden with when you say "comes with the Pd binary" ? how do i obtain it ?

Try copying the org.puredata.pd.plist file that comes with the Pd binary.Copy it to ~/Library/Preferences.That will replace your current Pd preferences with the default ones.

hey,
thanks hc. it makes sense what you say: it must be a slash related problem, since every library im trying to load with pd, it cannot access the binaries with the .pd_darwin ending.. and it prints e.g. "tried /zexy.pd_darwin and failed" or "tried /rradical/radical.pd_darwin and failed." .. what is a leading slash and what can i do about it ?

I think you have a leading slash, i.e. "/xsample".It should just read "xsample".
