An alternative is to use [declare -lib share-mem], then it'll work wherever as long as share-mem is installed. The downside there is that the library needs to be in the standard install location or the path in order for that to work. For development, I often put a symlink in ~/pd-externals to the folder in SVN, then it works everywhere.
