Just reiterating my last message as it seems unclear as I re-read it...
The stop message crashes readanysf~ when it is playing an mp3 file.
Any experience with this?
thanks in advance,
Naveen

hello, your config should be ok for this object to work.
first question did you manage to get some sound out of readanysf~? what kind of file are your trying to read?
using the stop message should not produce that as i remember - i had the same kind of error message with deleting readanysf objects from a patch.

Two things that can crash pd for me with readanysf~
(Using flext 0.5.0, readanysf~0.13.2, pd-0.39-2, on gentoo linux)
- if the filename is two long perhaps I get
<in Pd wish window> Readanysf:: Couldn't initialize the file/stream!!!, sucks for you dude
<in linux shell> [11:25 AM] gen2:~$ pd MAD_ERROR_BUFLEN *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x082fa394 ***
- if I try to stop the file from playing (ie. to use the stop message)
<in linux shell> [11:36 AM] gen2:~$ pd *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x082daf8c *** Pd: signal 6
Cheers,
