Hey, if you are on Windows and have problems with test-3, I'd recommend test-2. GEM was completely broken for me with test-3, but running test-2 I'm getting GREAT performance, no crashes at all (as long as I don't try loading AVI's) and very tight, quick response. Anyway, I have a big gig doing visuals in Detroit, at a Neil Landstrumm/Adam Beyer show, and I'll be using PD/GEM as my main program. This is my first big show, but PD/GEM have made it easy to make some really sweet generative glitchy visuals.
Now, if only we can get a GEM that plays AVI properly on windows, I have a feeling it will never happen so I currently use vvvv for that instead... So I have to switch programs now and then during the show. But PD has my best stuff, I'm trying to spread
Strangely, even though my background is as a composer, I've had much better luck doing visuals with PD than making music with it. I just may not have the patience to build from scratch, things like Reaktor and Plogue Bidule tend to be easier for me to deal with; except PD works very well for me, to send data over OSC to control other modular programs.

Disregard that, I forgot to RTFM. Double clicking the registry file added the library. However, PixelTANGO still crashed the machine!

I tried installing Pd-0.39.2-extended-test3.exe on WinXP and it went OK, but the libraries did not load by default! Anyone else experience this?

^There's the question. Every time I try slipping in a pt.rotate, pt.video, pt.*, Pd crashes. I am trying to set things up on my friend's computer for a show in a few weeks, and would love to have the niceties of some time-saving PixelTANGO abstractions.
Should I dig in and strip it down, or is there a more elegant way to fix this problem?
