hi list, hi miller !
the behaviour of the netreceive-object in UDP-mode has obviously changed back again to "old" behaviour (since 0.34-3, but i have somehow skipped this version (in the contect of netreceive/udp))
is it likely that it will change back ? i still consider it very dangerous, to be able to kill pd, write patches, format the harddisk,... via an open udp-connection. i am glad, that it seems to be somehow stable again (speaking in terms of "getting what i sent over the net and not scrambled bytes"), but it breaks all my patches (connecting various computers over the network, relying on udp to avoid crashes)....
i would really be glad, if at least a "local" flag (like the "old" flag) could be added to have access to the save behaviour ?
so what are the plans for future "netreceive" ?
