ees works for me. (win2000/98) Nicolas: do you start dp from the console (or, if you start it with a shortcut, did you specify a working dir?)

hi nic,
my midi controller is also not working with PD... i've got a EES 2/4 midi controller 4 paraller port (+ beta drivers 4 win2k) (http://www.ees-musik.de/ees_html.gb/pcmdrv_e.htmhttp://www.ees-musik.de/ees_html.gb/pcmdrv_e.htm) and when i try "pd -midiindev" PD just crashes (pd0.35-16) but all other midi programs work with ees...
i've got also a onboard joystk/midi port on my MB, but its deactivated in the bios because i don't need midi 4 pd at the moment... (midi from soundcards joystickPort should work with pd)
sorry that i couldnt help, but i'm a newbie 2 :)

when i type pd at the command prompt i get this message:
«not using MIDI input (use pd -midiindev 1 to override C: spawnl: No such file or directory C:/bin/wish83.exe: couldn't load TCL»
i typed again using the advice and i got this also: «midiInOpen: A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system.»
i put all files in the pd1 folder. i tried version 0.34-4.msw and 0.35-test16.msw since this is my first try with pd, i have absolutely no idea what to do. thanks a lot for any advice.
