me think that 2, so VERY BIG thanx for Puckette&co for keeping PD free&open !!!
i'm(was) a musician and i'm giving ALL my songs as "tribleD"... (tripleD = dip, dub, del :) (but i have none online yet, im shy :)
i just desided to NEWER ask money 4 my music !!!!!!!!!! (atleats 1 way 2 rebel againts the copyrights :)
this copyright thing annouyes me VERY much, but i don't have the time 2 write it all down what i feel... (as a scifi fan i'm dreaming of a world without MONEY!!!)
ofcourse it's very good to know who made the original, i'm having big problems when tracking "stuff" that i've downloaded from ftps&co. i got DSL so i'm downloading gigabytes in a day, not allways knowing what/where/who made it...)
shit, i don't want to hear copyrights again!!! i appreachate VERY MUCH who made it first, but copyright it... it's like patents, some1 came 2 the idea first and now hes making MONEY for it...
ofcourse i understand people making SW/HW for living, but thats again a question of MONEY ruling the world...
but all in1 i boucote copyrigts where ever i can !!!!! (see http://www.vju-tv.net/TheLineGame.htm , i didnt "patent" it :)
but (sadly) at the moment i'm making visuals 4 money 2 extend my existence... (but got still like 0bucks for it,LOL)
cheers -andre

Sorry, Frank, for posting out of list.
Yes, i agree, pd has a very important advantage. this is free and open source (for the present). MAX/MSP for MAC costs about 500 $ and 300$ for students. I won`t to comment this, we will see.
i love free pd and hope this will going on.
For example: if i lead an open-source-software workshop, i know, i`m doing that for demonstration of great possibilities to other people and for imparting knowledge to them. But if that software is commercial i shall a dealer in software.

I wonder, if this might bring us more PD users. On Windows, the Native Instruments Crew somehow has the biggest following, and Reaktor et al
are
conceptually quite different from PD. Max OTOH is very similar, as you know, and if people start running Max on W32, there might be more
interest
in something similar with open source: in PD. bye, -- __ __ Frank Barknecht ____ ______ ____ __ trip\ \ / /wire ______ / __// __ /__/ __// // __ \ / / __ \ ___
