Single buffered GL contexts will do this. Send a buffer 1 to the gemwin before creating the window. Then bang the gemhead each frame (metro works well for this). Sending a bang to the gemwin will clear the window contents.

jit.lcd lets you draw lines which stay permanently on the screen in 2d space, rather than as OpenGL objects, or what have you - it's more like moving a pen across a surface, you just draw a line and then forget about it.
