AFAIK, "sudo make install" wont show up in apt-get (synaptic) but you can do "sudo checkinstall" (you may have to intall checkinstall first) instead and it makes a .deb and installs it. that way you can remove it with debian package manager...

Thanks for the help[and really quick responses]!!!
That worked just fine, the only problem is that it compiled(?) into the directory i was in, i.e. my downloads directory. Should i uninstall then reinstall(how do i go about uninstalling-nothing shows up in synaptic?) Also even though i installed with "sudo make install" i cant run pd by typing pd from the terminal.
And Cyrille for future reference which repository is pd available, ive uncommented the multiverse and universe repositories (in that file i cant remember the name of) but it doesnt appear to be in there.
Oh yeh and how do i just reply to a message in the archive rather than starting a new thread, wwhich i guess im doing now?
Thankyou guys!
