Many thanks Thomas,
this workaround is enough OK for me.
Besides that, a fix for this problem has been introduced into the devel
branch of PD. Tim has just released a new binary. Get it at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php? group_id=55736&package_id=151692
seem that the 0.38.4-devel (with the option "-nogui") dont slowdown the computer, but dont output any audible audio.

Hi all,
I had upgraded pd to 0.38.3 (win binaries downloaded from Miller
Puckette's web site)starting pd with "-nogui" flag, cause strange behavior: the computer
reacts very-very slowly to the user input. The task-manager marks 100% cpu loaded (Pentiom IV 2.8G).Without the option -nogui PD works perfectly.
Thanks for whichever aid
