Thomas,
Well, weirdly enough, Patrick's suggesting of -lib'ing it seemed to fix the problem. Any idea why it would react this way?
I'm on FC4, and was using the packaged versions of pool and flext.

Hi David, on which platform is this? Do you use packaged or cvs versions of flext and pool? (if the former, then i'd suggest trying the latter) Are you sure there are no old (pre-0.39) pd headers files lying around and becoming included?
all the best, Thomas

All and T,
I have no idea why pool keeps refusing to work for me.
I've freshly compiled Pd .39-1test1, flext .5, and pool .2.1
Trying to put a pool on a canvas gives me the regular:
pool 0.2.1 - hierarchical storage object, (C)2002-2005 Thomas Grill
But then the object disappears, nothing happens. pd -verbose doesn't give any clues, either.
Ideas?
David
