Hello everyone,
I'm working on a patch that calls specific instances of another patch, by sending |obj| messages to |s pd-patchname.pd|. The subpatch is then removed by sending a |editmode 1 x y x y cut editmode 0| to the |s pd-patchname.pd|. The problem I'm having is: if no subpatch has been called, and the "cut" message described above is triggered, pd dies. In other words, pd dies when it is told to delete something that isn't there.
Is there a better way to accomplish the automatic destruction of subpatches? Is there any way to prevent pd from dying if the "cut" message is triggered needlessly?
Thanks, Greg
