First off, Guenter did a lot of work on the main site, and I added a download page. This should help getting the newbies on board. I added a Mailing Lists page, so hopefully people will figure out where to go for help.
I'd say the MacOS X packages are ready for an intro announcement. I've been spreading the word around my university, and a bunch of people have installed it without asking me for any help, so I'd say that's a good beta test.
So that we are starting to make releases, we should probably start tagging releases, like 0.1, etc.

Hans-Christoph,
Very cool. The Mac externals should be ready to go, too, right? I've been playing around with a build system for Thomas Grill's flext externals, too.
With these file releases, do people think that pd on MacOSX is "usable" enough to make a limited announcement to, say, osxaudio.com? (With disclaimers that it's still mostly a command-line tool, not for the faint-of-heart, etc.)
If we point people to that page, what can we do to encourage people to join pd-list for support?

I have started putting releases in the files section of the SourceForge site, you can check it out here:

So now I want to download links on the main site, http://pure-data.sf.net. Anyone have an objections?
