Hi
I'm too lazy to find a reference now, but IIRC you can address multiple MIDI ports from Pd. Channels 1-16 are automatically mapped to ch 1-16 of the first configured port. Channel 17-32 are mapped to the ch 1-16 of the second configured port, etc.

Hello,
unfortunately it's not possible to select MIDI port from [noteout] or [ctlout], it's possible to do it with [midiout] but I'm not sure it would work on other OS than linux. Anyway, what about just using different MIDI channels? It works very well.

I think that's correct.

Im creating a patch to control midi instruments and control parameters. For now I can send midi data to only one channel (via midi yoke), if I want to send data to another channel I write noteout 2 and select midi yoke 2 in ableton Live, but that doesn't work.
the '2' in noteout 2 is the midi channel, it is sent to the same virtual midi device midiyoke 1 I think if you want to send to yoke 2 as well, you should enable multiple midi out devices in pd's media > MIDI settings gr, Tim
