hi... yes, markers are stored in the headers of wav files, they can be recognized by a lot of softwares like : peak, spark, soundforge, cooledit, samplitude, etc. I was wondering if there is any way of read this information in pure-data

You can store any information you would like in WAV-files. When you look at the file format specification you'll find that it is build using chunks of data. There are chunks that represent header information and chunks for audiodata. Undefined chunks can actually store anything like executables, pictures, video data, or your address book contents. Various professional software titles have very poor WAV-file (error) handling. They crash on, or misinterprete the WAV-file data. But technically speaking, you can store markers in WAV-data.

hi friends , is there any object in pd that recognize .wav markers??? something like sfmarkers~ for max???
are you sure that it's possible to save markers in .wavs? if you're using wavelab i could send you a python module i've wrote to read/write wavelab markerfiles (.MRK) which you can use with pd/pyext.
