Hi, when translating Pd to brazilian portuguese, I cam across a few things
I don't really know what they do and stuff, and that I never really
bothered.
For instance, what is the 'verbose' check box in "Path" for?
Thanks
Hi Everyone,
I made these scripts to start translating the pd helfiles and docfiles.
Maybe some of you are interested?
One way of using this is:
1. Generate the ".po" template ($ ./template doc/5.reference "name
lastname" email Language Lang-id)
2. Upload it directly to https://translate.google.com/toolkit
3. Generate an automatic machine translation to the target language of your
choosing
4. Download and integrate the translation back to pd. ($ ./translate
doc/5.reference)
There are other free translating software out there. I suggested google
because it allows multiple users to share a workbench, and the machine
translation is pretty decent in most cases, but it needs revising. I got as
far as spanglish...
The code is mostly on bash shell (using sed, grep...) , so i guess it also
works in linux, and probably on windows with cygwin or mingw. Any
help/improvement/comment is more than appreciated!!

Cheers,
fede
PS: I couldn't find anything in the list about non-gui translation, only
external manuals and stuff. Any pointers here will also help!
(responding in thread)
I believe this is fixed in a commit which is not in a test build yet. Is the recent file list being saved at all or? I not only 1 file is being saved, you're seeing the bug I fixed.

Yes, I believe this is fixed in a commit which is not in a test build yet.

Yes.

Only you and Lucas have tested it. Sending emails back and forth to each other agreeing on a change doesn't;t magically make it happen.
I didn't add the metrics changes to the PR because the PR is about bringing the font in first (in my mind). The metrics can be in a different branch. If I put all of them together, it makes it much harder to be able to decide "we want the font changes, but not the metrics changes yet". As I've mentioned before, many times now, I personally do not have all the knowledge to know if the tweak to the tcl from extended, in fact, is only thing that's needed.
That's not to say the extended stuff CANT be brought in, just that, in software that lots of people rely on, it pays to be conservative in making changes like this. It may work for *your* help patches but may break tons of *other* patches for other people. I dunno, which is why I am cautious. We need feedback from others and the "powers that be."

I've added a macOS 32bit 0.48.0-test1 build using the normal (old, included) Tk 8.4 wish: http://docs.danomatika.com/pdbuilds/ <http://docs.danomatika.com/pdbuilds/>

In the meantime, can't you install the latest stable release in the package manager? Thanks for helping test the new version at any rate.
I also wonder if this is a "linking jack2 when we want jack1" issue.

Hi Miller,
On a normal Pd startup (mmio) audio devices are not listed (not even in the GUI), or wrong chars appear.
OTOH starting with -asio -listdev audio devices show correct names.
