Hi,
I am using a nvidia Gforce3 TI and I was really impressed how well it works
with GEM. I play 720*480 30fps .avi's and there is no lagging at all.
Mapped video on 2 rotating cubes and everything was smooth.

Hi all:
Everytime I try to create a gemwin in single buffer mode I get the
following messages:
error: GEM: Unable to create single buffer window
error: GEM: Unable to create window
The same happens in the examples.
I don't know if this is related but everytime I create a window I get:
error: GEM: Could not open display 01
error: GEM: Error creating const context
error: GEM: A serious error occured creating const Context
error: GEM: Do not continue!
This is in Gem 0.86 RedHat 7.1
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I am trying to write a patch that dynamically assigns [netreceive] port
numbers but I can't think of anyway to get the dynamically generated
port# to be a creation message so that I can use [netreceive $1].
Any suggestions would be very helpful,

Hello,
Is it possible to hide all the gorey details of a patch(e.g. cord
strings, various comments and other stuff). Apparently there was a way in
MAX(which I am not familiar with)...but I was wondering if I could do it in
PD. It would make the user-interface look a lot less threatening!
Marcus.

Hello
downloaded the 0.35-test16 version of pd
tried -asio option...
it lists four drivers and only the third provides 8 output channels
Is there an option to ask pd not to use the default ASIO driver?
thanks

I asked about this on the VST mailing list and steinberg tech support
replied - it turns out that those plugins that say "...requires Cubase 5"
are NOT VST plugins at all. They are simply Cubase extensions.
They use the VST interface but then they start making manufacturer
specific calls (VST uses a call back method and opcodes). Try as I
might I couldn't reverse engineer what was going on in a sensible
fashion.
Annoying really 'cos some of these "Extensions" do some useful things.

hi,
now the multiple instances work if you patch x_connective.c to allow
sends (not receives) to be set with a message.
a patches x_connective.c is also at
http://test.pilot.fm/pd/patches/jass/
please be my labrats, I would really like to get this at least to
a beta stage ;)
now back to music,
