Dear list,
how would you calculate with an expression this formula:
arctg(y/x)
looks like tan, sin, cos cannot be in the expression, does it mean I have
to brake it into parts?
Best,
Popesz
In general, the plans seem to fall on whoever needs it first, then whoever wants to actually do it. I overhauled the MIDI handling a couple years ago now, so hopefully it won't be too difficult to extend what we have if someone wants to jump into byte protocols. I'm mildly interested but it will take a while until I can get around to it.

Hi,
I came across this:
https://www.midi.org/articles-old/details-about-midi-2-0-midi-ci-profiles-a…
and I was wondering if there are plans to upgrade Pd to fully use the new version of this protocol… To be honest, this is an ambitious plan for me to develop myself but I’d be happy to contribute.
Have a nice week,
Julian.
Maybe it would be helpful to display some text suggesting checking apt-get / the system package manager first when a user opens deken on a Debian system (or maybe Linux in general).

There is also my own HID -> OSC daemon, joyosc: https://github.com/danomatika/joyosc <https://github.com/danomatika/joyosc>
Since it's sending OSC, you can stream from one computer to another, regardless of OS, so it's useful for rapid prototyping.
I haven't personally built it on Windows, but it should work fine with MinGW and the SDL2 development libs as it uses an auto tools build system.

Hi Everyone
We fixed PeRColate code in order to be compiled for the latest PD
vanilla and Purr-Data. Mainly because we like this libraries and it a
shame it disappear in the land of not maintained ;-) I haven't seen the
visual (image) part of the libraries and I didn't really used myself, to
be found then.
Anyway fixed source are available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/fork-percolate/
And we we build a binary with pd-lib-builder that could be used on any
Gnu/Linux OS, to be tested of course!
For other OS support, if any of you wants to help, you are welcome :)
cheers

Hi Andrew,
I'm sorry you are having trouble running Ofelia on Ubuntu.
I will try to update Ofelia this weekend using the latest openFrameworks
0.11.0.
I hope that will fix the problem.
Best wishes
Zack

Dear list,
the logic in the attached patch works fine, but I am still stuck at two
different points:
The Arduino sends each digit of the values as a two-digit ascii. How do
I get Arduino to send the complete values as integers instead?
And, how can I tell [pd] when a new data set of e.g. six values begins?
Thanks
Maik
