ok, cool, but documentation seems very confusing and not clear about this
and I wonder how we can improve it. what do you think?

hi,
(Windows 10, MinGW32 installed)
i'm want to use pdlibbuilder and started with the 'helloworld' example:
https://github.com/pure-data/helloworld
(danomatica)
following the instructions, with a powershell in the folder i do:
make install pdincludepath=./src/ objectsdir=./build
this gives the following error:
Command "gcc -dumpmachine" did not return a target triplet
looking up what a target triplet could be, i have the impression
this error should not happen with pdlibbuilder.
(besides that i don't know what it should be and where to supply it)
any hint is appreciated.

Hi, I don't really get the optional arguments to the open message (after
the filename) and I don't understand how the mono file input (bell.aif) can
output 4 channels of audio!
cheers
Thank you both!
I've been using Patch Base: https://coffeeshopped.com/patch-base <https://coffeeshopped.com/patch-base>
I was thinking it might be neat to have something a bit more autonomous than manual editing but less messy than the Random button.
Ctrlr looks cool, and thanks for the dx7 link, Sebastian - it didn't turn up in my search, but I may have been asking the wrong questions.
Cheers

Pd has some distinct advantages over programs like ctlr which was not very reliable when I tested it (couple years ago), mainly it was difficult to get it to work well with multiple synths at one time all controlled by an external midi controller.

Hi all,
which are your favourite pd abstractions/externals able to work as very long/infinite reverbs, possibly with the option to freeze the reverb when desired?
Dear list,
I am trying to compile Gem on Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS witrh pylon, but make
fails with gmwerlin problem.
I have found a 2 year old thread here
https://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2019-02/124601.html
which says that it is almost impossible to make gmerlin work due to bad API
and lack of updates. latest is from 2012.
Is gmerlin needed? Can i ignore it and compile gem without gmerlin?
Please advice!
Best,
Popesz
Hey gang
Has anybody made a patch editor for a MIDI synth? I’ve got a few here that I’m just sick of menu-diving on and realized there’s a solution on my computer already.
Cheers

Dear List,
Today the Click Tracker Library reaches 60 works, with Feldman's 2nd
String Quartet (yes, that one). Together it comprises almost 16h of
clicks, which could be turned into music by any interested musicians.
If there are any works you might need or want to add to this collection,
let me know.
All the details are in http://jmmmp.github.io/clicktracker/index-library
With best regards,
João Pais

Hi, all. Is there a way to verify that Gem is running on a dedicated
graphics card if you are using a computer with both Intel and Nvidia
graphics? Running Windows 10 on a Surface Book 2. Can I specify which card
to use?
Sam
Hi,
here's a new bug fix release for [vstplugin~] - an external to load VST2
and VST3 plugins on all platforms:
Binaries can be found on Deken or here:
https://git.iem.at/pd/vstplugin/-/releases.
This release fixes a critical bug where [vstplugin~] would fix crash
when switching samplerate or blocksize while a plugin is loaded. Even
worse, Pd would also crash when loading a plugin with |[loadbang]| or as
a creation argument at samplerates other than 44.1 kHz.
Please upgrade!
Also always, please report any bugs at:
https://git.iem.at/pd/vstplugin/-/issues
Christof
