sure ;)
also guys, .. there is the wiki page on puredata.info,
may be add something to it.
i have said there that i got a 14channel A&H mixer +some cables.
i think i can sort out some other audio equipment (gat some speakers and mics
of a my mates).. it's easy if we do it at my place but otherwise i'll need to
get transport (to bring speakers, but the mixer fits in my bag).
If we can get some money, then i can get a bigger PA with subs
(so we could actually here how our stuff sounds on them big subs!)
i personaly 'd love to do that actually!
i worked at pa compony wherehouse, but there people would bother if
someone make noise ..
;) but the loudness could be an issue here (well our squat could be
fine, but i cannot say for sure right now) .. and may be we should
stick to a basic mackie speaker option then.
what else do we need?
screens and projectors?
i've got some CRT monitors and a few LCD ones ..
good network swithces are also avaliable.
with some cat5 cables

I'm not sure it's a bug or I'm missing something. I am having problems
with oscx objects (Pd version 0.40.3-extended-20080721):
I can create [sendOSC] but not [dumpOSC] If I open the helpfile for
dumpOSC it usually (but not always!) displays fine but if I try copy/paste
to another patch it doesn't work. I tried adding [import]] & [declare] to
no avail (closing and opening the file as well as restarting pd in
between).
I also tried adding oscx to the path but that doesn't stick. I managed to
add other directories to the load path and next time I start pd they are
there. not when I tried oscx. And the dll files are there in the correct
place. Is there some mysterious incantation?
thanks
Oded
Hey all,
Before I make one, is there an abs/ext out there that prints the
difference between subsequent floats?
1,2,3,4,5 -> 1,1,1,1
2,4,6,8 -> 2,2,2
5,9,30,5,7 -> 4,21,-25,2
Thanks,
.b.
Hi,
attached is a preview of a little effect I was working on after
meeting with a nice Ableton Live user (Hi, Cee!). It aims to be a
clone of the Beatrepeat effect in newer Live versions, which basically
is a delay line with variable, tempo synced taps. My version is pure
Pd.
This is a very early prototype but already fun to play with.
So have fun.

Hi,
from the ongoing discussion about Max/MSP compatibility I wonder if
it would be a good idea to create a list of available objects in the
extended version, quite as it exists for vanilla. For someone who is
getting acquainted - like me - it sure would be a useful thing, I
mean like '5.referemce/help-intro.pd'. Does anybody work on such a
thing?
Jurgen
"mach-o, but wrong architecture" means that you are most likely on an
Intel Mac, and that fftease.pd_darwin is meant for a PowerPC Mac.

We are reviving the New York City Patching Circle!
http://puredata.info/community/NYCPatchingCircle
We spend enough time alone staring at our computers; we are proposing
to work together. So often issues that arise when working can be
solved with a quick two minute discussion that would take hours to
solve alone. We have Dorkbot to see people's work, we have Share
where anyone can play, we have workshops and universities to learn
from. This is a meeting where we all can come to work.
This is an informal gathering of patching and patchers (Pd, Max/MSP/
Jitter, and even vvvv, EyesWeb, etc.). Beginners and Experienced
welcome. Open to everyone, students, the public, etc. Work on school
projects, personal projects, ask for help, help others, or just patch
quietly to yourself, in a room full of other people patching patches
and helping other people patch.
Time: Saturday, November 22nd, noon-6pm
Place: This meeting will take place in the Eyebeam Education Lab:
540 W. 21st Street, (between 10th and 11th Avenues)
New York, NY 10011
Tel. 212.937.6580
(Previous meetings were held at Brooklyn Polytechnic, now we are
roving.)

Hallo,
hm, I'm a bit confused how to place elementary filters: In the book,
Miller writes that the r/czero should be placed before the poles and
the screenshots also show this:
http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/techniques/latest/book-html/node160.html
However the example patches (H11 ff.) and the butterworth abstractions
that come with Pd have it the other way around and follow the
alphabetic order with *z*ero last!

But be careful with table resizing: It is likely that you get glitches
in your audio output if you do extensive resizing. But resizing
shouldn't be necessary that much anyway - just make your tables large
enough and adapt to it with your playback locations.
