Hi All-
I'm happy to announce that the first beta release of Lily, an browser
based visual programming environment for Firefox/Mozilla, is now
available for download. Lily is a patcher interface to the
functionality of Mozilla platform: svg graphics, html/xul UI,
networking, file system access, xml parsing/transformation & sqlite
data storage. It's OSC enabled, is capable of interfacing with the
Arduino I/O board and has a processing compatible graphics api. It's
written in Javascript.
Have a look at the music/graphics examples below to get a feel for
some of what it can do:

More information about Lily is available on the website: http://www.lilyapp.org/

Is there a way to have video created in real time by other programs that
use OpenGL routed through Gem so those windows can be processed by Gem?
I'm thinking of Windows but would also love to do this under Linux.
Thanks,
Jim
Hi,
I'm trying to install pd-extended on KUbuntu gutsy and get the following
messages. I can't seem to find the files for these unmet dependancies.
Any idea where I can get them?
..
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of pd-extended:
pd-extended depends on libflac7; however:
Package libflac7 is not installed.
pd-extended depends on libquicktime0; however:
Package libquicktime0 is not installed.
dpkg: error processing pd-extended (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
pd-extended
Thanks,
Jim
hi,
livecoding is one of my favorite use of PureData, it's the way I've
had the best fun with it at least,( sigmund~ is quite cool in this
context,) and once the piece is over, it won't be saved, like a mandala.
Hello!
I foolishly made the following mistake:
File/Startup.../flags..
-path "blah blah"
and I get this on startup since:
error: blah": can't open
The thing is, the File/Startup... link is dead! It just does nothing, no
startup... window! So I can't correct it...
(all this under WinXP)
So I guess the question is..how can I otherwise edit the startup flags?

Hello everyone,
Is there a reason there hasn't been an autobuild for Mac OS X x86
since around 2007-12-07? Do we know when we can expect the Intel
builds to resume?
Thanks,
~Brandon
> 1) Think in a live situation, you want to close a sub patch but you
accidentally close the main patch.. DISASTROUS! :-)

Do you actually _have_ to handle closing and opening patcher windows while
doing a live performance ?
I think your setup and/or patch should make that unnecessary (or
automatic...).
gr,
Tim
random question,
just a thought, but do any of you think it would be possible to
build a sysex editor for something like a fs1r with pd ?
i have some software that i can edit it with, but i cant edit
it and play sequences with it at the same time.. its like the
editor has complete control over the midi port and wont
let it up to any other midi sequencer/program, i've tried using
a midi yoke, but that doesn't work either... sorry for the kind
of indirect pd question, i just wondered if i went about investing
some time into building something with pd i could still use
external software to record and playback sequences..
all the best
mr tim x
