For frustrated Pd list archive searchers:
http://google.com/search?num=50&q=++site%3Aiem.kug.ac.at+iem+pd++
A good bookmark or linkbar link or whatever your browser uses.
Why?
- Pd list archive search http://iem.kug.ac.at/mailinglists/pd-list/
is quite slow. For folks as impatient as me, Google is the solution.
- the archive files can't be easily downloaded as a block
- puts search burden on fast distributed machines on a fast backbone.
Notes:
"+pd" term selects only Pd lists at iem.
"++" puts spaces in the search form. Saves typing.
"+iem" term stops ads in search results.
Suggestions for other, better search tools are invited.
Alright, I finally reinstalled GridFlow's CVS server. The new contact
information is:
CVSROOT = :pserver:anonymous@cvs.gridflow.ca:/home/cvs/gridflow
(the login password is "anonymous")
and for the illuminati it is (very different):
CVSROOT = :ext:USERNAME@cvs.gridflow.ca:/home/cvs/gridflow
CVS_RSH = ssh
CVSEDITOR = (whatever...)
note that all of the illuminati will have to re-register with me so that I
activate a specific USERNAME.
it is easier for anyone to just re-checkout gridflow, but if you have a
lot of your own files (new patches or modified patches) in that directory
and you want to recycle your current checkout directory, do something like
this:
cd gridflow
edit CVS/Root
for file in `find -name Root`; do cp -i CVS/Root $file; done
so that the CVS/Root file (that contain the default CVSROOT setting for a
given directory) gets changed for every subdirectory.

As promised, Re: is PD usable for realtime effects...
It's a 4 channel delay bank. It's the first PD patch I've made that does
something rather well and I'm working it up for some live performances
around town. Further developments are MIDI control and a headphone cue
bus, but most of that is specific to my hardware so this version is the
generic GUI

Hi List !!!
Funny Funny and strange.....
I updated to Planet CCRMA Fedora and now so many
things are gone ;-((((
I cant use memento anymore because hammer/cyclone are
not included any more and i dont have a clue how to
compile them ????
need to switch to debain i guess....to do it the easy
way, right ??
So is it right that there are no rpms for Planet CCRMA
???
Is it also right that the cvs/mixed stuff is just for
experienced hackers (no configure, no readme how to
compile)
Well...............i am lost ;-(
Any help would be very much appreciatd
Hi Hi to the list
Luigi
