hmm. can be arrays as well ? does that mean can use tabread4~/tabwrite~ ?
does jmax have template stuff ?
there is thing called osw being developed by cnmat, see
www.cnmat.berkeley.edu
and on aes99 (or could be other, i can't remember) .. osw.pdf
is supposed to go further than pd et al., ex be oo and scalable and other ..

hey .. could someone please give explanation of how templates/lists work ?
ex what is happening in 7.stuff/data-structures/*
( pointer, element, append, traverse, sublist, getsize, setsize, get, set .. etc )
+ does until work ? how does work ?
danke
I forgot to answer the second question, whether you can have symbols
in lists. I've never tried it, but you should be able to say
"field fred symbol" and you'll get a field named "fred" whose
value is a symbol. But since I haven't tested that yet, I bet
it will fail; I'll look after I finish the exciting job of putting
ALSA support back in...

Hi PD'ers
Some of my friends at Aalborg University are working on an interactive installation and are considering using PD to do some of the work. The problem: they are Mac people! So: will PD run under Linux on a Mac? Has anybody had any succes with that? Can it be done? It will have to be recompiled, for sure.
Cheers

Yes, someone was working on a native Macintosh version and actually
had a fair amount of it done. However, he has been completely stalled
lately and hasn't had any time to work on it.
If anyone is interested in picking up the native Mac version, let me
know and I can put you in touch with the developer.
Later, Mark

I renamed the old "polygon" to "drawpolygon" (or "filledpolygon" if you
want to paint inside it) to get around the pd/Gem name clash, I think
in version 0.25 or so. THe Gem one is still "polygon".

+ polygon from GEM

the objecx polygon as in drawing a list
+ polygon from GEM
seem collide.
->error: GEM: polygon: illegal number of points
also, is it not possible to store symbols in lists?
