most likely it is a bug in Gem (or - unlikely - one of ist auxiliary libraries). most likely you will not be able to "configure" this from within Pd.
a workaround for now, _might_ be to use [pix_buffer] to read the images). i say "might" because this object might trigger the same bug as well.
sorry forgot to post my specs: os: windows xp professional, service pack 3 pd: ver. 0.40.3-extended gem: ver. 0.91(included in pd extended)

which kind of images are you trying to load (jpeg, tif,...?)

thx for the fast answer, i will try that one out with pix_buffer, and download the newest version of gem, which is 0.91.3, hope it will work!!!!! ah...it's .tif sequences, due to the included alpha channel which i need! mfg johann
