Hi, Since yesterday afternoon I'm getting a "Proxy Errror" when trying to contact puredata.info:
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /docs/tutorials/TipsAndTricks.
Reason: Error reading from remote server
Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) DAV/2 SVN/1.5.1 PHP/4.4.4-8+etch6 mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8o mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.0 Server at puredata.info Port 80
Everything else appears to be fine on my side.

hi,
I accidently messed up a software page I created on the wiki.
it seems that I erased the "release" contents (instead of archives) and
now the original page throws an error:
http://puredata.info/community/projects/software/auto-completion-plugin
and as it says that "'NoneType' object has no attribute
'getPhysicalPath'" I thought "alright, the content is gone so I create
it again with the same name". this was apparently wrong:
I end up with this new url:
http://puredata.info/community/projects/software/auto-completion-plugin-1
so my question is:
is it possible to change the new page url to the old one or should I
update the link everywhere I posted this ?
cheers,
_y
Hey IOhannes,
Thanks for setting up the featured downloads section, that seems
perfect. My only question is how it is done, and how to edit things
there.
Also, I thought I'd move this conversation here, since its the right
list for the topic.

The "download pd" link currently directs to 'download.puredata.info',
which then acts as a separate site from puredata.info, so things like
the login state isn't transferred. How about just making the
'download.puredata.info' name redirect to puredata.info?

I think we should shift the downloads page to the nice Software page
that IOhannes set up. I think we need to simplify it a bit to make it
easier to understand. Here's what I propose:
- rename "stand-alone products" to "Applications"
- remove "frameworks" and "graphics" and put all libraries into
"libraries and externals"
How does that sound?

FYI:
I converted this section to a "wiki folder" and updated the front page:
http://puredata.info/docs/sitedocs
I also created an 'old' folder and moved some stuff there that looked
clearly quite old and was labeled as such:
http://puredata.info/docs/old
Let me know if I messed anything up.

What to do with PD homepage translation.
Should we make links to other languages ?
and should they point to other sites than puredata ?
The other side is Plone could handle them, but who wants a multilingual
homepage for PD ?

Hi Winfried,
If it not so difficult, can You place a small link to my translation at
the top or bottom of the page, because I can not announce the blog does,
except this method. Of course, if it is not difficult and is not
contrary to your principles!

Hi,
Does the zope/plone/whatever-it-is backend of puredata.info have the
capability to aggregate external RSS feeds, either natively or with a
plugin? I think it could be nice to have an aggregate of those sites
that don't want to be hosted on puredata.info, but that still want to
make their content available to puredata.info readers. Obviously it
would be bad form to aggregate sites that don't want that, for example:
excerpt from Planet Haskell FAQ:
"""
To get a blog added, send email to [snip] and provide evidence that the
blog author consents to this (easiest is to get the author send the
email, but any credible method suffices).

23:16 < asal> hi, is there a list of pd blogs that i can suggest to my
students ?
23:30 < gustonegro> asal: I don't know if there are blogs, but there is
the mailing list, the web ring, and a bunch of video tutorials online if
you type in "puredata" in youtube
23:31 < gustonegro> asal: also the mother website, http://puredata.info/
23:32 < asal> thx I have already written those, I just wanted to check
if there is a list of blogs of people who use puredata
23:34 < ClaudiusMaximus> asal: you could start such a list if you don't
find one; my pd blog is here: http://claudiusmaximus.goto10.org/cm/pd.html
23:36 < ClaudiusMaximus> asal: maybe it would be worth writing to the
pd-web list to see if puredata.info has the technical capability to
aggregate rss feeds, too
23:36 < asal> ClaudiusMaximus : thx , that is exactly what i am looking for.
23:36 < ClaudiusMaximus> asal: http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pdweb
23:40 < asal> thx, I will keep checking pdring.

I am trying to upload a zip and/or .tar.bz2 file to an article for the
exhibition on pure-data.info. When I do, I get the dump below. The
