Hi devs,
I'd like to make it easier to handle cmdline options for Pd using getopt_long instead of what we have today, which makes it harder to scale and isn't generic. I don't have a windows box and I'd like to know if it'd work with windows before I make changes.
Could someone compile the example here : http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/manual/html_node/Getopt-Long-Option-Example...
and let me know if it works ? I know there is an implementation of getopt under windows, but I'm not sure it works flawless.
thx for letting me know

Well, you could include code from cygwin on Windows to make sure it works there.

I support this effort. It would be lovely to have standardized cmd line args for Pd with short -s and long --long options.
