Well, you could include code from cygwin on Windows to make sure it works there.

I support this effort.  It would be lovely to have standardized cmd line args for Pd with short -s and long --long options.

Hi devs,

I'd like to make it easier to handle cmdline options for Pd using getopt_long instead of what we have today, which makes it harder to scale and isn't generic.
I don't have a windows box and I'd like to know if it'd work with windows before I make changes.

Could someone compile the example here :
http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/manual/html_node/Getopt-Long-Option-Example.html

and let me know if it works ?
I know there is an implementation of getopt under windows, but I'm not sure it works flawless.

thx for letting me know
