For some reason your response didn't show up in my email Cristof, but to
answer your question, I am providing two creation arguments that sets the
number of inlets and outlets. Could you elaborate on how buffer aliasing is
caused by how the surrounding objects are connected? Assuming of course
that's the problem here, but my suspicion is rather that I'm not reading
from all inlets before writing to the outlets.

From my limited experience with Catalina in the last few weeks, if you
haven't made an exception in Security & Privacy *the very first time*
you try to load it, you have to delete and reinstall the library. It's
infuriating that you can't unblock it after the fact.

Howdy Miller,
Can you elaborate on the following? I'd like to confirm the new macOS builds are signed & notarized so they will run on macOS 10.15+. I'm now a bit unsure due to Alex's latest email on pd-list.

If you can find a copy of an older Xcode DMG, then you can install it. The official downloads section on the Apple Developer site requires an account (basically an AppleID_. I believe you can make an account for free and only need to pay to distribute on the app store and run a build on a mobile device.
Alex, you most likely already have an AppleID. If so, try this link: Downloads <https://developer.apple.com/download/>. Once logged in, click the small "More" link to the upper right. Then scroll down to find the latest Xcode 11.3 which I think is the last one supported by Mojave. We recently had to do this for my wife's work laptop as she had the same issue.
If the login does not work, you need to open/associate your AppleID with a developer account. I don't remember anything about this as I did it so long ago now.
Note: This is not a new issue and a little Google-fu would have turned up info like https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10335747/how-to-download-xcode-dmg-or-x… <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10335747/how-to-download-xcode-dmg-or-x…>

I think you don't even need a developer account. I somehow remember that
I've manually installed Xcode on my OSX 10.11 machine (which I can't
upgrade to newer OSX versions because it's too old). But I might be wrong...

Hi, now that Pd 0.51-0-test1 is out I can confirm I'm compiling Pd wrong.
I've been using the yet to be 51 since december and opened two issues on
github thinking the problem was 0.51, but it happens only when I compile
Pd. For reference, the issues are:
- and https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/issues/927
The issue I'm having might be related to casting float to int but I
wouldn't know how I could fix this by compiling Pd in a different way.
Maybe more details are on the issues above, please check them.
I'm just doing what I've been doing in order to compile Pd for a few years
now, I do:
./autogen.sh
./configure
make
make app
And out of sheer magic (at least to my eyes) a Pd app appears from nothing
to me...
cheers
That sounds good. What do you think Christof? Do you think it would alter any of the default behavior? I have to run so I can't look into this more until later today.

Howdy Miller,
It seems those flags are defined in different headers depending on the Windows version:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/ws2tcpip/nf-ws2tcpip-get… <https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/ws2tcpip/nf-ws2tcpip-get…>
I think we just need PP a version check and relevant include at the top of s_net.c and/or s_net.h. Most people testing were using Windows 7+ which is probably why we didn't see this issue before.

I agree with IOhannes as this is definitely not a bug fix release any more. It's basically 0.51 and many of the help file updates also reflect that.

It seems that, in certain situations, CFStringGetCStringPtr returns NULL even if the string is valid:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9166291/converting-a-cfstringref-to-char <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9166291/converting-a-cfstringref-to-char>
I did not see that in my testing but it could be a different strings settings you are reading as compared to mine and/or slightly different behavior between OS versions.
I can look into this later tonight.
