Summary: add canvas_fill as a variable
Initial Comment:
Attached diffs for pd-gui.tcl and pdtk_canvas.tcl permit different coloured canvas backgrounds if the "color scheme" section of pd-gui.tcl is edited.

in http://iem.at/pd/externals-HOWTO/node6.html it's not a t_float but a t_sample for using those variables

it's certainly caused by your makefile during linking, it's rather export_dynamic, you've certainly made a typo ^^

Summary: aliases don't work
Initial Comment:
If you want [symbol2list] in a new patch, and create [s2l] it won't create.
If you have already created [symbol2list] with its fuyll name, then you can create [s2l]
If you subsequently create [symbol2list] then all previously created [s2l] wont get created unless you reload the patch in the same session. Loading in a fresh Pd session will give: "[s2l] couldn't create" for all [s2l] objects created prior to [symbol2list] when loading in a fresh Pd session.
Same problem for [list2symbol] and [l2s].
Other aliases will not affect each other. If I load first [symbol2list] only [s2l] will create afterwards and not [l2s] for instance.
Same behaviour for [init] and [ii] in IEM lib. And there could be others too I don't or haven't tested.

Summary: zexy's [sgn~] and [abs~] crash
Initial Comment:
If DSP is on and DSP graph is recompiled (new tilde object is generated and connected in a patcher window), zexy's [sgn~] and [abs~] do _sometimes_ crash. This happens only on one of two machines with the same version of Pd and zexy installed.
How to trigger the crash:
1) pd -noprefs -lib zexy
2) turn DSP on
3) Create new patcher window (Ctrl-N)
4) Create [abs~], create a [+~] and connect them
5) If it does not crash yet, repeat step 4)
On one of my machines it virtually always crashes on the second iteration.
GDB backtrace (with [abs~]):
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Summary: make default font size the same on all platforms
Initial Comment:
There is some old code in s_main.c that sets the default font size differently for Windows. This patch removes that so that the default font size is 10 on all platforms. This now makes sense since the patches should look the same on all platforms.

Summary: make sure patches get written to disk
Initial Comment:
there is a very long standing (reported for pd-0.36cvs!) bug-report in debian (debian-bug#203288), claiming:
<snip>
pd: no error given when saving to a filesystem that is full
When trying to save to a filesystem that is full, a 0 byte file is
written and no error is given.
</snip>
with Pd-0.43, i get an error when saving too big patches on the filsystem in most cases (great), but some (e.g. creating a new empty patch, save that on the full fileystem) still reports everything as correct, even though only a 0 byte file gets written.
a simple solution (attached) is to call fflush() at the end of binbuf_write() and check it's return value for success.

Summary: fixed Mac OS X loading to work from cmd line and in src tree
Initial Comment:
This patch fixes Mac OS X loading to work both when pd includes an embedded Wish, i.e. in the standard Pd.app, or if pd is just compiled in place. There needed to be separate conditions for both, since in the embedded case, Wish finds pd-gui-tcl by its default loading of ../Resources/Scripts/AppMain.tcl. When launched without an embedded Wish, like when you just build the source and do ./pd, then the sys_guicmd needs to include the full path to pd-gui.tcl

Summary: Adding missing MIDI prototypes to s_stuff.h
Initial Comment:
A previous patch added MIDI prototypes to s_stuff.h in order to address some compiler warnings. Unfortunately, that patch missed three MIDI-related functions that should have been there all along. This patch corrects that oversight.

Summary: fix crasher bug when closing a window with Perf Mode on
Initial Comment:
fix crasher bug when closing a window with Perf Mode on and no changes to window. It was using the wrong variable, g, which is null. I changed it to x and no crash. Also, I adjusted the dialog to make sense.

Summary: bonk~ max/msp fixes
Initial Comment:
Patch consists of 3 changes:
1. Moving some PD specific code inside of #ifdef PD blocks so bonk~ compiles for Max/MSP
2. Bonk template reading/writing correctly works from Max/MSP.
3. "learn" was not using its argument, so every hit was being interpreted as a new template. changed that behaviour.
