0001-finished-automake-2nd-attempt.patch is not UTF-8, but something else
that gedit had trouble recognizing which encoding is used. I think your
best bet is to remove the ö and replace it with oe like you have elsewhere
in the patch.

Summary: expose audio/midi information through API
Initial Comment:
the attached patch make the audio/midi information available through the C-API (which backends are available, which devices are there; which parameters for the device)
this allows to implement an in-patch audio/midi preferences system, and is needed for the integra-live project.

Summary: Correct error messages for ALSA device setup
Initial Comment:
-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Comment By: IOhannes m zmlnig (zmoelnig)
Date: 2010-08-04 02:15
Message:
currently when initializing alsa, all errors will be logged as "(input)",
regardless of whether they are input or output errors.
the patch seems to fix this by printing "(output)" where output is
concerned and "(input)" where input is concerned.
it doesn't do anything else.
i would include it.
vladimir: if you want patches to be included you should be more verbose
than "this fixes a bug"; people need to invest time to review the patch and
it's a bit frustrating to stare at diffs only to find out that the original
poster was not happy with the indentation.

Summary: Sort method tables by symbol and use binary search
Initial Comment:
Sort method tables by symbol and use O(log(N)) binary search instead of an O(N) linear search. This should speed up calling existing methods but it might slow down adding new methods.

I once profiled Pd loading a large patch and found that a tiny percentage
of the CPU
time spent was method searching... are there situations where this makes
an important difference?

Summary: full UTF-8 support for 0.43
Initial Comment:
This patch aims to make Pd fully UTF-8 compliant in all parts, written by Bryan Jurish. Miller, we reviewed this patch at ICMC and it looks straightforward.
I refactored Bryan Jurish's pd-gui-rewrite-0.43.utf8-moo-2010-01-19.full.diff for 0.43, the patch is from here http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-dev/2010-01/014732.html

Summary: fix gl_goprect logic
Initial Comment:
Based on a patch from Ivica Ico Bukvic, this change seems to help the GOP red rectangle get set more accurately, and according to Ivica also helps with other GOP bugs. I checked it into Pd-extended 0.42.5 here:
