Summary: PD-extended missing documentation about loaders
Initial Comment:
while i understand that my bug-report #2803641 was kind-of bogus, i have now searched all files installed by Pd-extended and have not found any hint or doc that would have explained this to me.
please add documentation on how and when and why to load which loaders.

Message:
The how is easy, load it like any other Pd library, using [import],
[declare], "pd -lib", Startup prefs, etc. The why is more complicated....
Any ideas on how and where to document this?

Summary: PdX-documentation and location of user-added externals
Initial Comment:
the documentation of PdX in manuals/Pd/ReadMe.html still says that externals should be globally installed into "/usr/share/pd-externals".
however, PdX actually searches does not search /usr/share/pd-externals (as this would violate the FHS) and instead uses "/usr/local/lib/pd-externals" (which is FHS compliant and is documented at http://puredata.info/docs/faq/how-do-i-install-externals-and-help-files-wit…)

Yeah, its carefully hidden in packages/Makefile, where its generated ;) I
suppose that's kind of silly but its been like that for years.

Summary: PdX and Debian filesystem policy
Initial Comment:
PdX installs _all_ documentation into /usr/lib/pd/doc.
it does not install anything into /usr/share/doc/pd-extended, which is the natural place to look for help on a debian system. (as a matter of fact it is used so often, that it can be regarded as a "list of installed packages"; pd-extended does not show up here)
it would be nice if at least a note on where to find the "real" documentation would be placed into /usr/share/doc/pd-extended.
as stated in debian's policy http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-docs.html#s-copyrightfile e"very package must be accompanied by a verbatim copy of its copyright and distribution license in the file /usr/share/doc/package/copyright".
PdX violates the debian policy in this regard.

Message:
yes, the packages need a lot of work, and I am sure there are tons of
policy violations, and I am a big beliver in Debian Policy. But there are
only so many hours in the day.
Anyone should feel free to do this since I probably won't get to it for a
while.

Ok, Matju and you should be in all the systems now. Please remember,
any time I spend supporting these systems is time away from me working
on Pd. So please be gentle.
