hello,
i just tested the new pylon driver for the Ethernet camera. it work well. i've got few rendering problem, but it's the same than with the official application. i think it's because my computer can't do jumbo frame.
about latency, i noticed that most latency comes from the rendering part, and not the capture. things are lot's better for the rendering using single buffer mode. here is an image filming the screen. number shows ms, not frame. (screen is at 60fps)
So, i'm very happy...

great!
thanks for providing the hardware.
as a sidenote: if anybody has exotic hardware they want to get working they ought to send it to me, and i'll do the best i can (time permitting, and preferrably on linux)

but it is a basler with GigE interface so one may assume that any basler with gigE would work in gem now?

if the camera is supported by basler's "Pylon SDK", then your camera should be supported.
if your camera is supported by MVtec's "HALCON SDK", then your camera should be supported as well (though you have to pay extra for the license).
you should be able to check with your vendor or basler's website, whether they are working.

PS: afaik, basler/ieee1394 cameras are _NOT_ supported by Gem via special code (maybe they are supported via the generic dc1394 backend, i don't know)
Hello,
i think it' safe to assume that any cam using a pylon driver will work this include : aviator, scout, scout light, pilot, runner, A102f/fc, A31xf/fc et A6xxf/fc http://www.i2s-vision.fr/produits.asp?gamme=248&onglet=GEN&sX_Menu_s...
don't forget there is also an avt gige driver to be tested...
