BTW, a question that was asked to me several times in the last few days is whether it's possible to have several independent [gemwin] and I really mean several windows. IIRC this was implemented some time ago but I don't remember reading on how to enable it.
(I'm asking this is in part because I've been teaching quite a bit of Pd+GEM last weekend... 10 students, 10 hours)

...sure, just check out gem cvs tag "multiple_window", compile and go (not implemented on windows)...however, we haven't implemented rendering different things to different windows, but that's in the pipeline...
