[pix_video] is supposed (according to its help patch) to accept a 1 or a 0 in its left inlet to enable or disable camera input.
It works in windows, but I tried on Macintosh a patch I had made in windows, with the same version of PD and GEM (0.92.1) and in Mac, when I send a float (1 or 0) to [pix_video] I get a "no method for float" error.
I think the interface of all objects should be identical in all platforms even if the implementation is different.

yes i agree. i have been working on this for ages. eventually some messages might have slipped my tireless efforts.
