opening ../data/homer.avi with format 1908 error: GEM: pix_film: Unable to open file: ../data/homer.avi GEM: pix_film:AVI: unsupported!
and pix_buffer is not created.

for the moment i will continue with the las oficia GEM version in W32 GEM0'87

all right. i have mixed up some things with the search-path of pd (there were problems with the quicktime4windows thing if i remember correctly) so the example patches are all broken, because it cannot find the correct data-files, although the functionality is there. in the meantime please use [openpanel] in conjunction with [open $1(
and pix_buffer is not created.
i guess it has been forgotten to be included, i'll try to fix it.

i guess this is not a bug as [pix_add] just has no method to combine RGBA and YUV images.

anyhow, i have compiled Gem yesterday with FTGL support (but neither the pix_buffer nor the pix_film have been touched :-()
