then you have to re-phrase your problem.

you say that you get the "error: pdp_mgrid: no method for 'gem_state'". this means exactly, that you are putting a pdp object into a gemchain directly. something like

[pix_video] | [pdp_mgrid]

whereas you should use

[pix_video] | [pix_2pdp] | [pdp_mgrid]
