i m watching the pd process with top on a terminal - it just constantly counts up the rsize value

I think this could also be the fault of Pd's symbol table filling up quickly.
hmm - but i m talking about 100k per sentence - could this be the symbol table ?
best way to try is to use always the same symbols. (or alternate between 2 sets of symbols.) this would have a constant symbol table and if the memleak still occurs, then it is within [text2d]. another possibility would be to disconnnect the [text*] object from the text-strings and see if it is still there.
