sorry here:
i just tried this again and it went through ok - i'm wondering if i pulled the files as you were editing them -
but this beside the point because gemvertexbuffer doesn't create in pd (red dash)
so now i'm trying to build latest gem from source but now get this during ./autogen.sh

i tried earlier today with the latest gemvertex cpp/h and Gem src but got these errors:
which exact version? $ git describe --always 2c4a280
In file included from gemvertexbuffer.cpp:17: gemvertexbuffer.h:135: error: ‘gem::utils’ has not been declared
this looks suspiciously like your src/Utils/GLUtil* have not been updated (though i wonder how this is possible with git)
