Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Pixes (pix_ objects) Group: linux
Status: Closed
Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: 01ivier Baudu (o1ivier) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: [pix_compare] from pd-ext 42.5 crashes on Lucid.
Initial Comment: I have two videos (320x240 / mjpeg) which I try to use with [pix_compare]...
On ubuntu 8.04 with pd-ext 41.4 there is no problem. But it crashes with the 42.5 (on Ubuntu 8.04 and 10.04).
If I take the Gem.pd_linux from my Hardy's pd-ext 41.4 and If I put it in my Lucid's 42.5 adding some lib (libMagik, libaviplay... ) it works.
The operation have been done on 5 different computers...
Test patch (4Mo) can be found here : http://yamatierea.org/4pd-list/test-pix_compare.zip
On Ubuntu Lucid 10.04. With Pd-ext 42.5 GEM: ver: 0.92.3 GEM: compiled: Sep 22 2010

Message: i cannot find anything related to [pix_compare].
however, the patch crashes indeed after some time, due to a NULL-pointer access in [pix_film].
if you think that this is not the cause ot your problem, please attach a gdb backtrace of your crash to this bugreport.
