Initial Comment: using a simple patch with one [gemframebuffer] and 2 chained [separators] may make the GL stack overflow in each render cycle
linux, GeForce9600GT with 260.19.21-1 drivers
it seems that the same code makes no problems on other hardware/driver settings (tested at least on linux/intel/mesa and OSX), so i guess some stack has been deprecated but is still pushed...

Message: more info: the problem comes from the projection_stack with the given hardware/driver combination i have a max depth of 4.
