:) I had the very same problem when porting my externals from pc to mac... Now for me the rule of thumb is: when a compiler tells you nonsense check line endings!
BTW I'm looking forward to be able to use GEM with our Mac Intels... any news about an official release?

i was blinded by the fact, that there are strings with "\p" in the file; i ignored the fact that line 1509 (where the warning occurs) is the 2nd last line (i thought that there was some line number confusion by the preprocessor)
