Initial Comment: When opening the help, then create->destroy->create, the video doesn't open anymore and I get the messages:
v4l2: VIDIOC_S_FMT(fmt): Invalid argument v4l2: VIDIOC_REQBUFS: Device or resource busy
I am using a 64bit Ubuntu linux, Gem from git, pd-extended from svn and pd-extended core from git

Message: i had problems with a ps3eye on a 64bit debian squeeze system (running 2.6.32-5-amd64), but here it wouldn't open the device at all (always getting the "v4l2: VIDIOC_REQBUFS: Device or resource busy")
i get the same (non-working) results with gstreamer...
