yes, but the problem is that you must then store the whole text in a symbol and that's not possible. If you make a long symbol PD breaks it ... (just try:

just try the attached patch (zexy needed); of course this proves nothing (but gives us some hints)
i think that [print] is a bad debugging tool for extreme symbols.
it would be better to look at the symbol within C.
