I have a mp4 file (produced by shotcut/ffmpeg) that opens fine with VLC but causes GEM to stall in a way that I have to kill the process.
In the Terminal from where i start Pd I get this output in red and bold once the movie file is selected in an open message to pix_movie:
[mpeg4 @ 0x1bb8560] header damaged
many of these lines.. Pd seems to be so busy printing this to the terminal that it becomes entirely unresponsive.
I tried reencoding the file with ffmpeg, didn't help.
What else can I try?
