Summary: support for new ieee1394 stack on linux
Initial Comment:
the ieee1394 stack on linux has been replaced in recent kernels (2.6.30 or so) by a new implementation called "juju".
unfortunately this means, that Gem cannot use and dv-cams on linux any more.
here's almost no information: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.firewire.devel/10358
basically it means to change the code to use the new libraw1394 and libdc1394

The idea would be to run these on the build farm machines every night
automatically, so it would be valuable to have, IMHO.
You can have shell access to the build farm machines, if that's
helpful. The Mac OS X 10.4/Intel machine is a Macbook Pro, so its got
a pretty good graphics card. The rest are very old.

Access to computers should be unlimited and total. - the hacker ethic
In audio land, you can count on Pd to give you the exact same stream
of numbers for the same operations (i.e. determinism). I don't know
enough about OpenGL to know if you can count on it to give you the
exact same stream of numbers for a given set of operations.
If so, you can render a reference image, then to test, make a render
image, then check it against the reference.

Summary: set colors for "stereo 2"
Initial Comment:
it will be spectacular to be able to set boolean RGB color of color anaglyph "stereo 2" for gemwin, as you can do in gemMan.cpp source trough glColorMask.
but it till be fantastic to set color tones as RGB values via message
users of puredata are ussualy low tech based, and this is the cheapest way how to experiment with stereograms in realtime

hi list,
how does the render order in stereo (red/green) mode behave? it seems the green channel is rendered after everything else. is that right?
look into the pd line subpatch.
