Summary: rectangle inlets/args set HALF width and height
Initial Comment:
Either the description in the help patch or the behaviour of [rectangle] is wrong:
inlet 2: float: width (default to 1) <-- should say "half width"
inlet 3: float: height (default to 1) <-- should say "half height"
The rectangle's width and height are actually TWICE the numbers set with the inlets or arguments

Message:
what i learned in elementary school is that the "radius" of a regular
polygon is the distance from centre to a vertex, as in [polygon], whereas
the "apothema" of a regular polygon is the distance from centre to a
mid-edge, like [square]. thus, in polar, r(a) a function whose minima are
called apothema and maxima are called radius. similar concepts can apply to
rectangles and such.
i would natually use words "half-width" and "half-height" for [rectangle]
and [square], but to refer to them collectively, i definitely would choose
the word "apothema" over the word "radius" (the latter should refer to the
half-diagonal instead).

Message:
Yes I guessed the behaviour was the expected one.
It's true that this apply to almost all other geos; documentation should
be clearer about that.
I notice in some cases the word "size" is used which can be pretty
ambiguous (what's the size of a cylinde?). For a sphere, I'd rather use the
word "radius" ("size" strongly suggests the diameter)

Message:
this is for design and for legacy reasons.
i have added a note in rectangle-help.pd with rev.3452
note however, that this applies to virtually any Geo in Gem.

Summary: pix_mix colorspace error
Initial Comment:
I was working on a gem-driven (gem 0.91.3) video mixing patch and needed some gridflow functions. Both [#to_pix] and [#from_pix] worked fine only when rendered directly to a texture. When I tried to [pix_mix] the output of the [#to_pix] object I got a crazy blue shade upon the mixed picture. I ended up knowing it was due to an incongruence in colorspaces, for some reasons the alpha channel and the blue channel were inverted. I fixed with a gridflow function to swap the channels, but I guess it's just a workaround. Probably [pix_mix] doesn't handle in the right way the colorspace without noticing it (no error output). Sample patch attached.
According to ClaudiusMaximum the bug could be found here:
Gem/src/Base/GemPixDualObj.cpp:84: case GL_RGBA: case GL_BGRA_EXT: \
Gem/src/Base/GemPixDualObj.cpp:85: found=true; FUN_RGBA; break; \

this is matju writing to say that this report, which was written by mr.
"ramen", is missing the info that he is using GF 9.10, and that the
[pix_info] value is GL_BGRA (32993), as he just told me on #dataflow.
Filtering through [pix_rgba] just after [#to_pix] does nothing at all
(still GL_BGRA). The CPU is an intel. The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce
9400M.
