Hey all,
I just tried to do a cvs update from the externals module on CVS and I get:
Cannot access /cvsroot/pure-data/CVSROOT No such file or directory
Seems a little odd, has the CVS structure changed?
Thanks Ben
Hmm, I had no problem either updating the 'externals' tree or checking out 'CVSROOT'... donno what to say...

Hmm, still not working for me. Been a while since I updated, maybe a ssh key issue??
I guess I'll have to do a checkout, kind sucks on my 33.6 modem (with 2 hour limit)!
Thanks for checking for me.

I think the CVS root changed some months ago. Could be the problem. To fix that you would have to change the Root files in CVS subdirs to :ext:<username>@cvs.sf.net/cvsroot/pure-data
another problem might be the setting of the CVS_RSH variable on some linux distros. (Fedora for example).

Ah indeed my Root's say:
:ext:bbogart@cvs.pure-data.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/pure-data
Any suggestions on the fastest way to find-replace the 297 Root entries? Maybe I should just do a fresh checkout.
Thanks for the help Guenter.

PS: I'm going to be in Barcelona for the art futura as part of the SAT team. Anyone else going to be in town then? We're looking at being there from Oct 24th to 31st.

find -type f -path *CVS/Root -name Root \ -exec perl -pi -e's/cvs.pure-data./cvs./' {} ;

Thanks Reini,
That indeed did the trick.

This simple shell script should work:
for i in `find . -name Root`; do echo :ext:bbogart@cvs.sf.net/cvsroot/pure-data > $i; done
